Holy Family Church, Brahmavar, joyfully celebrated Vianney Sunday on 2 August 2026 under the leadership of the Parish Vocation and Seminary Commission, headed by Mrs. Janet Fernandes, along with its dedicated members.
The celebration began with the Holy Eucharist, during which the faithful prayed in a special way for all priests, thanking God for their vocation and selfless ministry. Following the Holy Mass, a felicitation programme was organized to honour the priests serving the parish.
The Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. John Fernandes, the Principal of Nirmala English Medium School, Rev. Fr. Mathias Dias, and the Assistant Priest, Rev. Fr. Joachim Dsouza, were warmly felicitated and appreciated for their dedicated pastoral service, spiritual guidance, and tireless commitment to the parish community. As a token of love and gratitude, the Vocation and Seminary Commission presented each of them with a gift.
Adding joy to the occasion, the parish choir rendered a melodious wishing song, creating a prayerful and festive atmosphere. Parishioners expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the priests and assured them of their continued prayers and support in their ministry.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving everyone inspired to pray earnestly for priestly vocations and to cherish the invaluable service of priests in the life of the Church.
