Vanamahotsava at Holy Family Church, Brahamavar
To protect Mother Earth and promote the beauty of God’s creation, the YCS, ICYM, and the Commission for Protection of the Environment, headed by Vice President Mr. Ravi Prakash Gonsalves, organized Vanamahotsava at the premises of Holy Family Church on 12 July 2026.

The event was inaugurated by the Parish Priest, Fr. John Fernandes, who distributed Pear tree saplings to the ward representatives for planting in their homes. Flowering and decorative plants were also planted in the church premises as a response to the call of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of ecology and creation. Known for his deep love and respect for all creatures and nature, St. Francis reminds us that caring for the environment is a spiritual duty and an expression of gratitude to the Creator.

The plants were distributed to the faithful, encouraging them to create small gardens at home and cultivate a greater love and responsibility for God’s creation.

Welcome to Holy Family Church, Brahmavara.
