Promoting Wellness and Preventive Care: Health Camp Held at Holy Family Church
The Health Commission of Holy Family Church successfully organized a comprehensive Health Camp for the faithful of the parish on 21st June 2026 at the church's mini hall. The camp was conducted with the valuable support and assistance of members from Swasthya Health Foundation. The camp offered essential health screenings, including eye check-ups and blood investigations, providing valuable medical insights to participants. It was formally inaugurated by Rev. Fr. John Fernandes, Parish Priest, along with Mr. Michael Furtado (Co-ordinator, Health Commission), Mr. Ravi Prakash Gonsalves (Vice President), and Mrs. Gretta Dsouza (Co-ordinator, 20 Commissions). Their gracious presence added dignity and encouragement to the event.

More than 250 people benefited from the free health services, making the camp a significant outreach initiative for the parish community.
Importance of Health and the Camp
Health is a precious gift and the foundation of a happy, productive, and spiritually fulfilling life. In today’s fast-paced world, regular health check-ups play a vital role in the early detection and prevention of diseases. This camp served as an important platform to raise awareness about proactive healthcare, especially among the faithful who often prioritize family and community responsibilities over personal wellness.
By organizing such camps, the Health Commission not only provided accessible medical services but also reinforced the message that caring for one’s body is an act of stewardship and gratitude to God. The overwhelming response of over 250 participants highlights the strong need for such community health initiatives and the trust the parishioners place in the church’s efforts.
Heartfelt Appreciation
The success of the camp was made possible through the dedicated and tireless efforts of the Health Commission members, who worked enthusiastically behind the scenes to ensure smooth execution and maximum benefit to all attendees. Their hard work and commitment are truly commendable.
Events like this strengthen the bond within the parish family while serving the larger purpose of holistic well-being — body, mind, and spirit.
Welcome to Holy Family Church, Brahmavara.
